..R E D.. Look at me... What do you see? ~ IC White paws tread lightly along the edge of the river, ivory claws scraping at the rock and damp soil beneath them. Tonight the air was crisp and chilled, a dampness lingering from the evening dew scattered about tiny blades of grass and sparkling against the moonlight. The sound of rushing water filled the air drowning out most other sounds except for that of a lone raven calling out for it's mate in the trees only a few feet away. The snow had melted here, the ice had gone, but a chill still gripped the Doberman's heart in a way that caused shivers to run up his spine. He was new here, new to this place and setting. Sure there had been places similar to this in his almost two full years of traveling, but none quite matched this place's sadness. Something about it seemed empty, frozen.
Red hued orbs searched the quivering water's surface, taking in every inch of their surroundings as the male came to a stop, retreating to his haunches in a patch of soft grassy shore next to the water. A deep sigh heaved from the Doberman's lungs, steam puffing out of his muzzle and floating through the air. He knew he was different from all the others. His delicate skin burned in the sun, eyes stung from the bright light of day. His fur was as white as freshly fallen snow, his eyes the color of freshly spilled blood. Nose and pads were as pink as the flesh of a newborn pup.
Red's fur bristled around his neck and he outstretched his front paws into the water, relaxing his head just over them so that his chin partly rested in the ice cold liquid. Tongue slid through rims lapping at it for a moment. He reveled in the fresh clean taste, though it did carry a hint of the city. It was better than drinking from dirty puddles though.
A deep breath passed through his muzzle, rippling the surface of the water as he stared into it's depths. How easy it would be just to throw himself into it and sink to the bottom or get carried down to the rocks. He was a freak, as far as his parents and littermates were concerned. Even his humans had treated him oddly, much different from the others. Sometimes he just wished he could be like the rest of them, to live a happy life, ignorant to the pain and dangers that this life brought.
He could just end it all now, and slip away in the night where no one could ever find him, ever miss him. Not that they would anyway. No one even saw him for him, they saw a freak of nature. An albino bastard son of show dogs. He could hunt for himself, he could fight for himself, he could be just like anyone else, but no one wanted to give him chance enough to show it. There had been many packs before, many places and dogs that he'd tried to become friends with, wanting to stay in a place where he knew he could be taken care of, and take care of others, but they didn't give him even a second look, just turned him away or chased him off. "They don't understand..."
Muzzle lifted from the water for a moment as he scooted closer, crimson eyes trained on the black moonlit water, his paws inching forward and legs shivering to throw him as far as they could. Thoughts raced through his mind, he wanted to do this, he wanted to end it...

.xx.Bordeaux.xx. Leave me tonight, when the warnings said leave a s h u d d e r upon you Running from all that you've feared in your life Soul of the night, will a son m i s l e a d paint a horror upon you Marking the moment, displaying in my ghost of a life The pain was catastrophic; it flooded into her mouth, forcing its way down her throat and into her system to the point where she felt like she could choke. Only then did she hear the screams. Screams that errupted from her shocked imagination, created out of the paralyzed senses that failed to work efficiently. Seclusion had its grip on her soul, dragging her into the depths of her nightmares and the core of the wild, crazed animal that she fought to break free from. She felt like the devil's servant; the bringer of his misery, his twisted desires, his willingness to destroy everything in his path. But this was worse. She was doing this all on her own, watching her skin twist and fold till she was turned inside out, looking at someone unknown and yet someone she had known all her life. Seeing her face turn violently beneath the flesh that contained the monster that tried to force itself out with nothing but the pure strength and animosity of years of untended insanity. She could feel the weakness in her bones, the uncontrollable willingness to massacre without a second's hesitation. It was flowing through her veins, rushing with the contaminated blood that had been fused together. So sublime, the pieces fitting together perfectly like two pieces of a puzzle. And so lovely, too. Deep, intense blue eyes. Radiant like an angel, painted blue brindle with golden highlights. She looked as if she were carved out of stone by the hands of something ultimately divine. Whispers interupted her brief encounter with her own personal hell, spilling into her mind and taking any sense of calm away from her. Whispers that brought back the pain of so many years of death, of confinement. Of horror.
Glowing red and blue orbs hid silently behind an ivory mask in the sky, luminous and bright. The burning crimson and azure showing the heat of the small stars, all hidden behind that blinking porcelain cover. Her eyes watched the sky as if it were a painting, tracing every planet and star until there was nothing her eyes had not stumbled over. The pastoral reflection of night consumed the earth with shadows, the burnished daytime chased away like a starved dog. It enveloped her in a sea of darkness, forcing her to divulge herself with the tide of night. It was a relaxing thing for her eyes that had seen so much depravity and iniquity. It was a comfort in the contempt she felt. She didn't understand how a world so beautiful could be so corrupt and depraved. Maybe it was just the beings in it that could contaminate it with such ease and confidence. The sickness that spread like a cancer, covering the earth in an invisible net that you can't get out of. It was captivating, in a malevolent sense. The only thing that hadn't been touched with the invisible hand of the earth was the galaxy surrounding it. It was beautiful, breath-taking, and most of all, a way to escape troublsome thoughts. But you can't hide from your mind forever. The calamitiousness that spread over the truth had eroded it away to nothing.
The shadows kissed her skin cooly, tender signs of love that lay invisible to the eye. Her muscles spilled over her bones like silk, relaxed and waiting for some form of movement. She sucked in a deep breath, the night air filling her lungs with icy tendrils. Her head was suddenly at chest level and her muscles were bunched as she looked around frantically. She could smell it, the dangerous and tempting scent of a male. Though her nose had identified it, her eyes had not, and though she double checked to make sure, there was no sign of another dog around here. Still in a crouch, the female walked forward, putting her nose to the ground and trying to find a trace of the other dog. This went on for about two minutes before she finally found something. It was stale, but there was still a chance that she could find the dog. Walking along the river's edge, she started at a trot, careful to keep her eyes up and her feet from slipping out from beneath her, considering she was so close to the muddy bank of the river. Trees moaned when the wind pushed against them, and more then once she turned with teeth bared at the large conifers. BLue eyes raked across the shivering figure of what seemed to be a porcelain Doberman. Bordeaux crouched in the tall grass, watching the dog with intensity and interest. He was at the edge, watching the swirling liquid like it was the only thing in the world around him. She raised an 'eyebrow' at this, but in that same moment, realized just exactly what he was doing. Suicide? It seemed like it. Bordeaux had tried that a few times, and she often thought about it lately. The nightmares had gotten worse. She almost couldn't take seeing herself kill those dogs over and over again every night. It killed her to think about it now. She walked forward, slowly, carefully, until she found herself about ten feet away from the animal. His coloring was.... angelic looking. Pure white. More like light cream, but beautiful still. She could see pink pigmented skin at points, and she realized he was albino. At the moment, though, she did not pay attention much to that. Instead, she decided it was time to stop the dog from throwing himself into the river and drowning. "I wouldn't do that if I were you. You might catch a cold." She sat on her haunches, fully aware that this dog might be able to kill her. Oh well. What was life without a few chances?

Crimson padded his way up the river. It was cold and as the water rushed by him, he remembered aqutac. He missed her beautiful eyes. his life had been complete when one day, she left and his heart was torn in to pieces. Some day he would want her back. But for now, he had to focus on the future. He finally got to a bigger part of the river where he began to drink the water. It was horrible! The water was polluted and he could taste the bad air. He backed away and shook his head trying to shake off the taste of filth.
when he was finished, he started walking again and the air was more crisp now. the cold air filled his lungs and as he exhaled he felt a bit more refreshed. He knew this weather was bad but, it made him feel free. he got to a clearing where the river stopped and there was a white dog crouched over the water. it looked like the dog was going to jump. "oh no!" he shouted and he darted towards the snow dog and threw him to the side. "Are you crazy?!" he shouted to the dog. It felt mean to yell at a dog but it just came out. was the dog ok?............

..R E D.. Look at me... What do you see? ~ IC He sat crouched at the water's edge for a long time, his front paws soaked to the bone and quivering, going numb from the cold water that foamed around them. Red eyes continued to stare, locked on a point in the water's swirling depths that seemed distant, black and calming, like something was there calling him to it. Hind legs twitched and his body lurched forward, but his mind was jerked from it's state of focus a thrown into confusion. Another dog was nearby, he could hear a voice. It took a moment for the words to register, and he turned to see the pit bull female sitting not to far away. Ears twitched in response, but he didn't say a word, only returned his gaze to the water.
Almost at once he was knocked off of his paws and thrown to one side, hitting the dirt and rocks with a deep thud from his chest. He grunted, rims pulling back to show sharp ivory fangs. "What the hell was that for?!" Red growled, getting back up, wobbly on his paws from the numbness that tingled and pricked at his pads. Bloody red eyes glared at the husky with unmistakable anger. What a first impression it must have been. He wasn't usually like this, but what right did this stranger have to try to stop him with such force. It was uncalled for. Even if he had decided to jump in. Come to think of it, what right did anyone have to intrude on him in such an inconvenient time. Eyes searched the Pit bull female, giving her a good long look-over. "If I catch a cold then so be it. If the river doesn't kill me than maybe illness will. I'm tired of being here... I'm tired of being anywhere."
His gaze turned back to the husky for a moment. "Who knows..... Maybe I really am crazy." He muttered in a low tone, stepping back to the edge of the river and flopping down at the edge of the water. This time though no part of him touched the icy surface. His muzzle hung over a rock, barely inches from the water, a deep sigh hurled from the Doberman's lungs. It calmed him, the sight of steam curling and skimming over the top of the torrent, being pushed and pulled around until it finely disappeared. It reminded him of his own life, always running or being bullied. Soon he too would disappear, either by his own doing or by nature's selection. He'd already stopped eating, and his caved stomach showed this. Red could hunt, he could catch his own meals as easily as a wild wolf, but right now the thought of eating knotted his gut.
One question lingered in the back of his mind though, why hadn't these dogs chased him off yet? Was this their land? It didn't smell like it was owned by any one pack, though there were many scent marks. Maybe they were rogues? The male grunted again. Why on earth would they bother anyway? No one else ever did.

Free me tonight, lest the animal caged free a t e r r o r upon you Caught in the moment, engaging in my b l o o d l u s t tonight, Bordeaux watched him. Just sat there, letting her azure gaze sweep over him while he seemed to look at her and then simply decide to ignore her. This, my friends, is what depression is all about. Not caring about anything around you, just staring off, thinking, wishing, hoping, that maybe, just maybe, God will give you mercy and you'd drop down dead. She understood this feeling, knew it, had an involuntary bond with it. She could see what this dog was going through; the hopelessness he felt was blanketing him in a thick aura that hadn't failed to alert her of its presence. The wind caressed her skin, and she took a deep breath. The smell that she caught sent a shock wave down her spine, but the other dog came rocketing over too fast before she could think.
A loud snarl ripped through her gut and came out without a moment's hesitation, and in a half second, Bordeaux was launching herself toward the stranger. Her eyes had a wild, glazed look, revealing the animal that she had kept dormant for so long. And yet, after all that time of disciplining it, of whipping it, starving it, beating it, it still disobeyed. Just before she was about to part her jaws and try and lock her mouth onto his neck, she caught ahold of herself. She fell blank; her eyes a monotonous stare and her body numb. Taking several steps back, she took deep breaths, controlling herself, bringing herself away from the creature that fought to break out from within her. She was horrified, ashamed of what she had tried to do. Her heart beat against her chest, pounding with fists so outraged that she thought she might burst. Backing off aways away, she stopped, sat down, and stared at the ground. " I.... I....." She whispered to herself, but found herself unable to complete the apology, for another thought slipped through her mind. It was so sudden that it frightened her. How dare he do something like that? But what if he hadn't meant to? Two sides of her fought for the upper hand, and in the end, she decided it was probably his fault. He should've known that running up like that was stupid, especially when there were two dogs of unmistakable power that he didn't even know. But she kept her anger to herself, and instead re-focused on the Doberman.
She noticed that he too was not very happy with the actions of the husky. At least she wasn't the only one. His reply to her words was only a confirmation of his depression, and she found herself at a loss of what to say. There really was only one thing to say. "I know how you feel." She decided on taking a different approach to his sadness. But wait, what the hell was she doing? Why was she bothering with this creature? Well, I don't really know, but whatever she's doing, let's hope she's right.
She took a wary step forward, then another, then a few more, until she was as close as she had been to any dog for a long time. Well, as close as she had been to any dog without having the desire to rip their throat out. She was not even close to touching him, and that kept her from going psycho. She hated being too close to anyone. It gave them the upper hand and made it easier for them to kill her. Laying down slowly, keeping her eyes on him, she looked in the river. The swirling water soon had her mesmerized, and she found herself off in the distance. The way the liquid wrapped around the rocks beneath the clear surface, the pure sound of water rushing with raw power. It kept her captivated, totally and completely engrossed. She inched closer to the very edge until she could dip her muzzle into the river. She soon, however, remembered that she wasn't alone, and returned her attention to the Doberman that seemed to have no reason in this word to live at all. Join the club. She chuckled quietly to herself and let a little of her amusement show on her facade, but soon the emotion was gone and she returned to a placid stare.

Crimson looked up from the white dog he had pinned with all his force. he re-focused his glare to the black dog that was now approaching from afar. She had a look on her face that he would never forget. she seemed hostile but another part of her was caring. or was it a show? He let go of the white mut and got up to face the black dog. her coat was glossy black and her eyes were cloud blue. her coat blended with her eye and made the whole seen a blur. He approached her some more and let out a whimper of defeat. He didn't want to start a fight. at least not now. He sighed and turned to face the other dog once more. He was sad and obviously sick by the look of his shape. He then rolled his eyes at the black dog and started to walk to the water to drink something. he had a feeling he wasn't gonna be very popular here.

..R E D.. Look at me... What do you see? ~ IC Red still lay where he had been, muzzle inches from the water's surface and eyes pinned in a straight line across the river, blindly watching as mist drifted from it's surface and foam crested around the tops of large rocks. Perhaps he wouldn't kill himself, maybe there were things that he'd yet to do, and these other dogs were here as a sign that he needed to continue for a few more days. Who knows really... He could find his place within that time, though he doubted it greatly. A loud snort pushed through his nostrils as he sat up and faced the other dogs with an expression that seemed a bit more confrontational than the last, his red eyes seemed more alive than they had been before.
"Perhaps my body will not allow me to pass on at this time. It seems to be telling me that I have other things to do." He muttered in an agitated tone, slowly getting to his paws and stretching. His body was thin and un cleaned, for the past few days of journey had been harsh and muddy with recent rain and melting snow. His white pelt was matted in places with dirt, though it didn't hide his pale bodice from onlookers. Ears stood on his head, and his expression changed from uncaring to almost noble and proud, even if it was for only an instant.
"I should suspect you'd know a good place to find food around here?" As he spoke his stomach growled it's displeasure at being so empty and caved. Red's muzzle pulled back into an awkward grin.
(OOC: Just so you know, Red is a bit bipolar.)
