A Little Bit About Me
I'm a California girl (and proud of it ^_^ ), raised in sunny San Diego. Currently, I'm going to UC Berkeley, hoping to be an Electrical Engineering and Computer Science major, with a Celtic Studies minor (or a Computer Science / Celtic Studies double major, depending on how it works out). I watch Supernatural, Bones, and The Big Bang Theory regularly, and I'm a big fan of vampire fiction (some of it, anyway). Werewolf fiction too, but that's harder to find sometimes. As for my non-roleplaying hobbies... playing with graphics works when I'm bored, and I also Irish dance non-competitively. ^_^
Me and Roleplaying
I first heard about roleplaying from a friend in the 5th grade, and she was talking about Dungeons & Dragons. I think my internet roleplaying hobby started in... hmm, middle school?
I've toyed with lots of genres - wolves, horses, cats, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Victorian era witches, fairy tales, and most recently vampire/lycanthrope roleplays. In fact, I spend most of my time playing a werewolf queen (king, technically) called Mina. Or her great-great-grandfather Puck, the PĂșca.
On this site, naturally, I play Aquutaq, the Canadian Inuit Dog (or Qimmiq, the Inuit word for 'dog'). For those of you interested, her name is the Inuit word for 'ice cream'. I'm not sure how similar their ice cream is to ours, but anyway. She made her debut on Streetpawz, but I liked her so much I wanted to use her on this site too (that, and I was too lazy to come up with a new character ).
Me and Pets
I am currently petless. Sad, isn't it?
When I was little, I had this really small, reeeeeally old dog named Tuffy. Unfortunately, she died, and was subsequently munched on by coyotes.
Aside from the occasional tadpoles, fish, crayfish, and frogs I've hosted in my home, I haven't had many pets since then, except for two rabbits.
My first rabbit was this all black mini-Rex (super soft, with curly whiskers). Not too bright, but sweet. Loved to nibble electrical cords. After he died, we eventually adopted Mandy, a sort of mini-mutt (as far as we know). She was far too smart for her own good, and a bit skittish at first. She lived to a ripe old bunny age, but then she died too.
And now I'm in college, and dorms/apartments really dislike you having pets. However, my two roommates each have fish - Jitters, the black moor, and Slinky, who's pretty much just a regular goldfish. Their companion Twitch died first semester, unfortunately, but was treated to a very moving service and subsequent flushing. -_-
