Demitri woke to the sensation of pressure on his nose. He groaned, and opened one eye. " What?" he asked in a very tired voice. There in front of him, sat the runt of the litter, Ginger. "Can you come play dad?" She asked him in her high pitched voice. Demitri groaned again. Her tiny ear was flopped over, irresistibly cute, and her amber eyes were huge, pleading him to leave the safety of the den,and abandoned badger set, and play with her. Rolling his eyes, he stood up. "Fine, but you have got to stop waking me up this early..." He started to walk out of the den, the tiny pup hot on his heels. "Thank you so much Dad! I promise I'll never wake you up again!" Demitri knew too well that the same thing would happen all over again tomorrow morning. He stepped out of the den into the pale morning sunlight.

OOC: can Katsumae be called kat as a nick name?
Katsumae woke up from the sound of Ginger and her dad walk out of the den. Cuddled up by her warm mother and brother and sisters she did't want to get out of the den, but she knew she had to get up sooner or later ''daddie, Ginger wait up for me! i want to pway too.'' she said with a high spueaking voice, she ran over to get out of the den and she triped over her own 4 paws ''ow!'' she got up and got over it and ran over to Demitri and Ginger ''so what are we gonna pway today daddie?''

Demitri groaned."Not another one!" he said in a false-mock voice. He walked silently, and decided he'd better play along. Pretending to yawn and stretch, he suddenly spun and pounced on Katsumae. Growling in delight, Ginger jumped on his head. He could hear the other puppies starting to stir. Soon this would turn to six against one. He stood up, Ginger still hanging off his ear, and ran to the nearest boulder, setting down Ginger in the process, where he jumped out of the pups reach.

as Katsumae got pounced on by Demitri then Demirti sitting on top of a boulder then Katsumae ran over to the boulder ''hmm that Bouldaw look smallaw from far away....daddie get down so me and Gigar can jump on you.'' she looked at Demitri with the cute little puppy eyes

Sky had been practicing. Her hunting skills that is! She stalked around in a circle, before finding her target. Her tail. RAWR! with a bark to loud for a pup her size, she lunged for the furry snake, only to have it fly away from her the moment before she grabbed it. Growling in frustration, she went back to her mother.
Demitri gave a yelp of fear and jumped onto the ground, pretending to trip so the pups could tackle him. He liked this "Dad" business, and Sakura looked like she was enjoying being a Mom. They were living in an abandoned park, and they had a family. The perfect life! he thought to himself...
Ginger ran in circles and pounced on her Dad. This time she lunged at his chest, only to have him stand up at the last second and send her rolling beneath him.

A little golden puppy opened one pink eye, disturbed by all the commotion outside. She rolled over and tryed to go back to sleep, but the noise sounded like so much fun! Lily hadn't gotten hardly any sleep last night; she had fallen into a mud puddle, and all the mud had crusted, leaving her encased in dirt. Maybe her siblings could go to sleep that way, but not her! She had whimpered and scratched until her parents had gotten up and given her a bath. Lily couldn't ever be dirty, not even muddy paws were fine with her. Sure she was adventurous, but not to the extent of getting mucked up. She stumbled over to the entrance of the den, and then fell in a heap outside the doorstep in the blinding sunlight. Letting out a puppy sized groan, she rose back up onto her paws and launched herself onto Demitri. She squealed when he wriggled underneath her. She pounced up and down and barked, "Daaaaaddddddyyyyyyyy!!!! What we gonna do taday daaaaaddddyyyyyy?  " |

Sakura looked up sleepily. She yawned tiredly and then blinked her eyes slowly. The only pup still asleep was Violet, her dear, sweet, Violet. She smiled as she looked at the quietly sleeping pup. Then, the yellow pup moved slightly. Then, she lifted her head and blinked her eyes quietly. With a deep sigh, she heaved herself up. "Good morning Violet." she said. Violet turned her head towards the sound. She wished desprately to know what her mother and siblings looked like, but, no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't. "I'm gonna go outside." she mumbled. "Is there any water nearby?" she asked. Sakura nodded, "Yes, I'll have your father show you where, I don't know." Violet tentavily put a paw forward and began to feel her way towards the entrance.

Demitri looked up as he saw Lilly scramble out of the den with Violet in tow. With the puppies all circled around his massive paws, he answered the tiny ink-eyed pup's question. "Today," he told them, adding a dramatic pause for effect. "We are going to learn how to swim!" He finished, looking happily into his puppies ecstatic eyes.

Violet emerged into daylight. She could feel the warmth of the sun on her fur,feel the soft grass between her paws, and hear the sounds of her siblings playing with their father. She sat down just in front of the entrance, and looked sightlessly forward. She sighed as her fur grew warmer and warmer. Then, she heard her mother come out too. Sakura nuzzled her daughter's head softly. "I'm going to go tell your father now." she said, trotting off to talk to Demetri.
